Q: We saw a lot of the Mek’s attitude and reactions to you, but how did they warm to the camera crew?
Mark: They took to the film crew with just as much enthusiasm as they did with Olly and I. We were all guests in the village and the little camp that sprang up off the side of the ridge to cater for the extremely hard-working and challenged crew became just another limb of the community.
The Mek loved it down there. There was always something bizarre happening to have a laugh at, strange food to taste and the general buzz of an exciting project in progress, one of which they were increasingly pleased to be a part of.
