Q: What did you miss the most from home, and did you ever get bored, as the Mek assured you that you would?

Mark: There were quite a few times, in fact, when Olly and I did get quite bored. The film crew were too busy to be bored but whenever a ‘Mek only’ storyline was in progress there wasn’t a whole lot for the two of us to do really.

The Mek are essentially pig and potato farmers and they spend much of their time just sitting around. I read a lot, wrote not enough, and made things out of wood.  

And as is always the case on a long trip, I missed my friends and family more than anything else.
