Travel: World War II destinations
London is the capital of both England and the U.K. Watime bombing, and in particular, The Blitz by the German Luftwaffe killed over 30,000 Londoners and destroyed large tracts of housing and other buildings across the capital from 1939-1945.
Sites including the Cabinet War Rooms, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament can all be visited as part of a look back at London's links with World War II.
