The country is deep in the grip of the credit crunch, and everyone is tightening their belts. So with that in mind, Wheeler Dealers is here to perk up all the hungry motor-fans out there. And, as well as providing a bit of four-wheeled escapism, the boys aim to inspire people by showing them the simple jobs that can make a big difference to a used car and save a few quid.

Mike and Edd’s meagre £5,000 budget means they have to work really hard to make savings and make the cash go further whilst finding their dream vintage cars.

With Mike scouring scrap yards for bargains on his used car buys, and Edd working his magic in the garage by transforming the cars with cannily-found second-hand parts, the Wheeler Dealers team have a winning formula to turn a profit.

And, ultimately, the profit and how it's made is what the show's all about.
