No food, no shelter, no fresh water - one man is alone in the wild for seven days with only his wits and stamina to sustain him. Each episode of Survivorman finds survival expert Les Stroud abandoned in a remote location with little more than the clothes on his back and 50 pounds of camera gear. In the third season of Survivorman, Les travels the world and sets up real-world scenarios in which he must survive.
Episode 1: Arctic Tundra
In the land of the midnight sun, Survivorman heads in to 72°.46 N - the northern tip of Baffin Island, Canada. Living here is an exercise in survival. Getting to the base camp takes two days longer than expected. Les’ survival starts on the Arctic tundra coast, where he’s left with a folding canoe, a CB radio, fishing tackle, some whale blubber and his wits.
Episode 2: Colorado
The American cowboy is the iconic figure of the Wild West and Colorado Rockies. During these next seven days, Les finds himself surviving not alone but with two horses. This episode gives survival a whole new twist.
Episode 3: Papua New Guinea
Filming his final adventure in the wild, Les is in Papua New Guinea. One of the world’s least explored countries, undiscovered plant and animal species are thought to exist and Les Stroud has survived it all.
Episode 4: Sierra Nevada
The California Gold Rush drew people from all over the world to the rugged Sierra Nevadas. Now it’s a hiker’s dream - and still attracting visitors from across the globe. You can easily hike for miles and miles here. The problem is it’s just as easy to get lost. Les finds himself in the predicament of a lost hiker.
Episode 5: Temagami Hunting
Temagami, pronounced “Te-MAWG-a-mee,” is Ojibway for “deep water by the shore”. Located in northeastern Ontario, this region is home to some of the oldest rocks on the planet, old-growth pine forests and clear deep lakes. But Les loses the ATV, which is carrying all the supplies.
Episode 6: Australian Outback
Les shares his field-tested expertise and gives you a no-nonsense look at survival in the Outback where temperatures can fluctuate drastically and water is sparse.
