NASA 50th Anniversary Walking On The Moon

The Orion mission intends to send four astronauts to explore the Moon for up to seven days. This trumps the Apollo 16 record of John Young and Charlie Duke, who stayed on the Moon for just under 3 days. NASA predicts that future missions could extend to six months. Specific tasks of the Orion astronauts will include high interest science experiments and scouting future outpost locations.
