My Shocking Story

Last year, Half Man, Half Tree / Tree Man introduced the Indonesian Sadaluk Clan of which 'Tree Man' Dede was a member. For years the group, all with extreme facial and physical deformities, performed in a travelling circus. Strong friendships and unique bonds were formed amongst the troupe; a camaraderie that allowed them to face the stares and jeers of the public. The show has since disbanded but after a year apart FREAK SHOW FAMILY brings the group back together to meet world-renowned facial surgeon, David Koppel, who is hoping to offer diagnoses for their extreme medical conditions.

Where are Ms Esih (‘The Lady’), Mr Sahi (‘Bubble Man’), Mr Sakim (‘Elephant Man’) and Mr Mamat (‘Snake Man’) and how have their lives changed since leaving the show? How are they now earning money and just what are their medical conditions? This episode of My Shocking Story will attempt to answer these questions and also explore the special bonds between the group that have been missing from their lives ever since they parted.
