Abigale Lider and her family (DCL) Can't Stop Growing

Joseph Merrick, 'The Elephant Man', suffered from Proteus Syndrome - a rare genetic disorder where parts of the body grow out of all proportion.

We meet four-year-old sufferer Abigale Lider and her family as they travel to Maryland USA for a week of tests. They also travel to meet other Proteus sufferers learning to live with this incurable condition.

In the UK, 31-year-old Mandy Sellers has a rare form of Proteus Syndrome which causes her legs to be giant while the rest of her body remains petite.
