Burnt and Survived
Mike Osborne almost lost his life when his plane exploded in a fireball leaving him with 80% burns. This film follows Mike's recovery and his painful search to restore the face and body that once was. His search means he undergoes a new and controversial process 'Isolagen', enduring painful injections. His search will also will take him to Paris where half the skin on his face will be replaced with 'artificial skin' using state of the art techniques.
Plus, meet Catherine Dowling, the first burns patient to receive this new treatment. Her face, terribly scarred in a house fire, has been successfully 'grown back' to how it was before the fire.
