Crabs aren't the only crustaceans which convert to cash, and Deadliest Catch: Lobstermen takes you on another adrenaline packed journey on the high seas - only this time the prized treasure is Maine lobster.

Lobstermen follows the lives of the off-shore lobster fishermen based on the coast of New England, to one of the richest fishing grounds in the world based in the North Atlantic.

The Lobstermen are a group of brave and ambitious men who take on the harsh waters of the North Atlantic in a quest to capture lobster.

With resources depleted nearer the coast, the offshore Lobstermen are forced to hunt hundreds of miles out into the open sea, where weather and sea conditions are at their worst. The stakes are high and the temperatures at an all-time low, but the traditional fisherman must out-last savvy entrepreneurs in a gruelling fight to claim what has been theirs for generations.

Five Captains battle the elements, and themselves, as they work on the edge of the ocean’s Continental Shelf. Every week, these daring skippers and their Lobstermen crews leave their families for merciless snow, freezing rain and perilously high seas to bring home the ultimate American delicacy: Maine lobster.
