SEASON FOUR

EPISODE ONE - GET 'EM BACK SAFE!
The crab fishing fleet once again braves the deadly Bering Sea to cash in on this year’s king crab bonanza. The Wizard almost doesn’t survive heavy seas that rip a hole in the hull… before she even makes it to Dutch Harbor. Family takes precedence on the Northwestern with the introduction of a new family crest, and on the Time Bandit with the addition of Johnathan’s son Scott. The captains gather at Lattitudes for a traditional round of drinks before the start of the season and superstitions and omens play a part for each of the men as the king crab season finally gets under way.

EPISODE TWO - STRIKING OUT
The season is just underway, and already the boats are fighting a fierce Bering Sea storm front as they stake their claim on coveted grounds. Captain Keith Colburn on the Wizard has two true greenhorns working the deck and, after only 48 hours at sea, one of them is already starting to fall apart. On the Northwestern, Captain Sig Hansen and his men fight through monster waves to get to their grounds, but when they pull up their first pots, they catch more jellyfish than crab. The Time Bandit crew are having a tough time dropping their gear and the Cornelia Marie has been striking out but morale is lifted when the crew pulls a pot and finds a big surprise at the end from the Time Bandit crew. The Early Dawn has already hauled over half a million pounds of crab, but they aren't red king crab, they're brown king crab. Now the Early Dawn crew must race to finish out their brown crab season and move on to reds before the red grounds are completely fished out.

EPISODE THREE – A NUMBERS GAME
The Time Bandit hits the jackpot while poaching and the Northwestern is pulling good numbers but poor counting by greenhorn Jake infuriates Sig, then a mechanical problem stops the Northwestern dead in her tracks and Edgar is pressed into action to make a dangerous repair. Plain old hard work starts to separate the greenhorns on the Wizard: one begins to falter as the other steps up to the job. Poor fishing on the Cornelia Marie frustrates Captain Phil and his failing health causes him to make a mistake that endangers the boat and his crew. At last, the Early Dawn switches her gear over to Red Crab but has to drop her first pots in nasty weather.

EPISODE FOUR – UNSAFE AND UNSOUND
Greenhorns, skippers, and family fishing dynasties begin to crack. The Wizard is on the crab, but weeks of brutal labour takes its toll on Jason Moi, the boat's oldest Greenhorn. On the Cornelia Marie, Captain Phil nearly has a nervous breakdown when he can't find the crab, but Phil's son, Josh, starts a new tradition in the hope of changing the boat's fortunes. On the Northwestern, Sig has been grinding for days. He and his brother, Edgar, are in a match of "last man standing", to see who can fish the longest without needing sleep. Meanwhile on the Time Bandit, Captain Johnathan has a brush with death.

EPISODE FIVE – NO MERCY
It's week five of the king crab season and the crews are plagued by harsh weather and violent tempers in their run for big returns. On the Wizard, Monty Colburn brings the whole crew down with his bad attitude during a wicked night of fishing. The Time Bandit loses precious hours to a dangerous electrical short, and a greenhorn's ambition causes a near mutiny aboard the Northwestern. Meanwhile, Captain Phil's failing health is causing concern on the Cornelia Marie, and the Early Dawn runs headlong into high seas with greenhorn Brian asleep at the wheel.

EPISODE SIX – RACING THE CLOCK
With only a few weeks left it's do or die time as the captains draw up final battle plans and start the push toward the finish line. On the Northwestern, Captain Sig Hansen is faced with a price drop deadline at his processor that if missed could cost him tens of thousands of dollars. On the Time Bandit, Captain Johnathan Hillstrand has had some amazing fishing success, but he's also been facing off with a string of bad breaks. On the Early Dawn, Captain Rick Fehst is on the verge of having to deal with a mutiny on deck. On the Wizard, Captain Keith Colburn found the crab early and he and his crew offload almost 200 thousand pounds in Dutch Harbor. After three years sitting on the sidelines, the Skaar brothers have convinced their dad to let them fish again and bring the North American out of semi-retirement, but the odds are stacked against them and if Sten doesn't catch the boat's quota fast and make a profit doing it, his father will retire the boat again at the end of the season.
