Chop Shop is filmed at a London garage right in the middle of the capital’s biggest Bangladeshi community - Brick Lane in the east end of London.

Running the workshop are Bernie Fineman, a seasoned mechanic born and bred in Bow, London, and Leepu Awlia, a visionary car designer from Bangladesh.

Their challenge is to produce top quality customised cars from whatever they can lay their hands on.

Bernie, assisted by a team of mechanics, is in charge of the inner workings of the modified car creations – making sure the engine runs like a dream and the vehicle packs a punch.

Leepu is the creative genius in charge of the exteriors of the custom cars – he and his team create the bespoke bodywork, down to the tiniest detail and the exact colour shades.

Together, this top team produce tuned-up beauties that everyone wants to take for a spin.
