Elephant Week includes a host of programming featuring Saba Douglas-Hamilton and the elephants she has spent much of her life working towards saving.


The daughter of world famous elephant expert and conservationist Iain Douglas-Hamilton, Saba is fearless as she gets up close and personal with these intriguing giants of the animal kingdom.


Elephant Week begins with a trilogy including The Search for Virgo, the heart warming story of Virgo - the elephant that Saba grew up with. Living With Elephants sees Saba helping the local tribes-women in Kenya who believe they have upset the elephant population; and finally in Namibia’s Desert Giants, see Saba’s determination as she sets out to track down the elusive Desert Elephant.


In Escape the Elephants Saba takes part in a unique experiment, where elephants are being trained to track down their deadliest enemy, the poacher.


Elephant Week concludes with the incredible film Elephants: Spy in the Herd, which takes an intimate look into the life of a herd through the use of hidden cameras. Watch the progress of a family as they struggle through drought and fight to survive predators.
