Total Fishing - The Avenue

" This surface fishing definitely seems to be the method. Here she comes, just a double this one. Gotcha. Uh. Nice looking Carp though, they're really, really beautiful shape, a comfortable double, but uh, believe it or not, that's a small fish for here. I've been having to cast right across to the far side to get the fish. Really tight to the far bank and taken them as the drift across on the breeze. This one already wants to swim off."

" Up here's a fish and it's just off at 40 miles an hour, and it took me almost 10 minutes to get it back. And it's under the rod tip. I'm pounding, I'm pounding away, and I just haven't seen it yet."

" Well the light's going pretty fast now and the fish are still coming up to the floaters. I've caught 8; I've lost about 3. And I've got a really nice fish on now; this one's a common carp. It's the first one I've hooked today, but in the actual fact it's curious, 'cause Rob told me that there's a lot of common carp in here, including some really, really big ones. And um, most of the fish that we've hooked today have been mirrors so, it's just one of those weird things, really. But I've got common on now, and it's not a bad fish, its um, just dogging around under the log, take a That's nice when it moves the water like that. The water of the whole lake rocks. Fish has suddenly decided to fight. I hooked it a long way out, it came blasting towards me and I thought I'd hooked a really small fish at first and now as it's gotten onto the rod tip it's decided that it's gonna give me the real run around. Just wallowing over the net now, c'mon. Uh, Get it, yes, gotcha. That's a beautiful fish and uh, it's the one I was after just to finish the session off it's one of, one of the the bigger common carp and ah brilliant."
