" We all know MythBusters is a massive phenomenon airing right across the world. But how did it all begin?"

" I was just trying to find something where we could be kind of interactive with science and get involved in the process, and we went through a lot of different versions of this show. And finally, just hit on this incredibly simple idea, like most good ideas, which was to try and test the legends not just retail them in a reenactment. And that was that, it was instant 3 episodes with Discovery, and it has been no turning back since then."

" I got involved in the show through Jaime Hyneman. I was trying to intern for him. He does, you know, he's got a special effect shop and it's just amazing, I'm sure you've seen it in the show. Well, my first day, MythBusters was filming an episode there and they were early on in their season and they needed I guess you could say a piece of the female anatomy for one of their experiments where a big girthy woman flushed the toilet before standing up on an airplane flight and she sucked herself into the toilet. They had to land the plane to get her off. They needed my special qualifications, so they took a 3-D scan of my derriere and made a giant mold of it, its hanging over there and lowered it onto an airplane toilet. It just happen I, right time, right place, really."

" Just before we move on. What's with the dog?"

" I just got a puppy. This is Ms. Gertrude. This has absolutely nothing to do with the show. I just-- She's a little baby and I can't leave her alone. Look at that belly. Look at that little belly."

" Okay. Enough cuddly stuff. Boys, how did you start?"

" I remember when he started actually. Coz we're working together at ILM and we're workin' on, was that?"

" Van Helsing. Van Helsing. "

" Yeah. And then I got a call from Adam, `coz Adam and Jaime, I've worked with them before in commercials and movies. So, we've been friends for years and then they called me up, and they're like look we need more builders on the show. Send a video of you building. And so they were like,"

" Yeah, you're just gonna be a builder, you'll be on the background, maybe once in a while. But then, as we started doing the show, they came to us and like, look we're not getting any shows done fast enough, you gotta be a host now."

" I gotta call from Jaime after Scottie left the show. He said, why don't audition? And then the work was winding down at ILM and it sounded like a much better offer then, so here I am."
