" It's not unusual for folks to bring along a friend when getting tattooed, but Kimberly's little buddy takes the cake."

" It's a ring-tailed lemur."

" Is that like a monkey?"

" Is he [unk]."

" He's a prosimian. He's not a true monkey."

" Right, exactly. Yeah."

" What's a prosimian? "

" It's an old world monkey. They branched off the evolutionary line about 50 million years ago."

" So that's what happened to you. `Cause you are the 4th guy from the left of evolutionary starting to talk."

" Kimberly came in with the craziest animal I've ever seen in the shop."

" Look at that. Let me see. Can you hold my hand?"

" Uh huh."

" Oh, he is cool!"

" You like my monkey?"

" I love him."

" I'll let you play with my monkey later if you like."

" Oh, hell no!"

" Now we're talking."

" Even making me blush!"

" Okay, turn around. Let's see the tail on that thing."

" That's a nice damn! Even the monkeys get what the guys [unk]."

" All right, so what do you think?"

" I would like a blue-ringed octopus."

" Wait a minute, that's pretty cool."

" It's like one of the most deadly octopi in the world, and there is no cure once you're bitten. Yeah, you're pretty much toast."

" Maybe with the tentacles creepin' down or creepin' up."

" Probably like right where my belt buckle is. Oh, I have no tan lines."

" Where do we put the monkey?"

" [unk]. Can't get focused."

" Okay."

" I like this shape."

" You like that one?"

" I like that shape. It's cool."

" Kimberly's made my job easy. She's done her homework and knows exactly what she wants."

" You're being a good boy."

" Let me set up for you and then be with you in like 10 minutes."

" Kimberly's back to get a blue-ringed octopus tattoo and Louie's still stealing the show."

" I know I'm good with people, but who knew I have such a way with the lemurs?"

" All right, so come on up. Let's get your tattoo started."

" Come on Louie. So, what position do you want me in?"

" Animal behavior, huh?"

" Uh huh."

" Yep, I see how this is goin'. No movement. Why did they call octopus octopus?"

" `Cause okt means eight."

" Okt means eight?"

" It's actually"

" Yes, but what's the pus?"

" It's a mollusc, which is the classes cephalopod, which means head, foot. Octopodidae, I think, is the genus, and then octopus is the specie."

" She's really smart, Kat."

" I know. I'm looking at her."

" This one is not even a stripper."

" Is there anything in common you have with this squid-like creature?"

" Just like the blue-ringed octopus, I have a look-but-don't-touch attitude about myself. I don't let a lot of people get too close to me because if they do get too close, one of us is gonna get hurt. I'm definitely a heartbreaker when it comes to that. I just, you know, I'm not really one for relationships. How about that?"

" You don't say?"

" I do say."

" I love that about women. Fun."

" So be careful when you get to the blue rings. That means it's upset."

" Really? So that's the aggression showing right there?"

" Uh huh. It's kinda like their warning."

" Are you deadly? Is that what you're trying to hint over here?"

" I am beautiful but lethal. I find myself very lethal with the gentlemen, if you know what I mean. I break hearts all the time, unfortunately."

" Lethal?"

" Yeah."

" Oh God!"

" Towards a lot of guys that seem to just fall in love with me. Ha ha."

" Do they really?"

" Yeah, they do."

" Louie was really quiet, Kimberly was very talkative."

" And sure of herself."

" You know, it kind of evened it out. It's like a good scale between `em."

" I think I have above-average looks."

" Oh you think so?"

" Yeah. Know so."

" Ladies and gentlemen, monkey, we're done. Take a look!"

" Oh, wow! I love it! I love it! You like it, Louie? I am totally happy with the way that he did the tattoo of the blue-ringed octopus. It's amazing. It actually looks like the pictures that I brought in and it's so natural looking. The blue-ringed octopus is like, tattoo. It really symbolizes a lot of who I am, and showing everybody that yeah, I'm beautiful but lethal, you know."
