" This is Future Car."
" One of the staples of science fiction is flying cars. Cars that fly right to the atmosphere, perhaps hovering on magnetism and invisible force. When will we achieve this? We don't know, but it's out there. This is the prize."
" Paul Moller has been dreaming of this prize for a long time."
" As I became much more aware of transportation coming to a quite inconvenient, and it really means you still have to get from airport to airport. This vehicle takes off vertically, so you're no longer dependent on airport. You have to have certain things that allow you to move from the vertical mode to the horizontal mode, and that's these in the cells. I have 4 in the cells in this particular vehicle, and the air is deflected downwards, and then the vanes come up; and the vehicle then flies like a normal airplane. The skycar is capable of a top speed of 400 miles an hour. It's something that can be used on the road, but primarily an aircraft where it spends the majority of its time."
