" 10 a.m., October the 17th, 480 kilometers northeast of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. A battle is raging on the Bering Sea. 1,200 fishermen are fighting for their share of the Alaskan king crab riches. At $11 per kilo, the stakes could not be higher. Captain Vince Shavender and his crew of 3 know that on the smallest boat in the fleet, there is no room for error. Boats with larger deck space can fish up to 250 pots and prospect for crab throughout the fishing grounds. The Lucky Lady will fish only 88 pots. They only get 1 shot of the crab, so the spot they choose to fish will make or break their season."

" With so few pots, the crew must reset quickly to stay on top of the crabs."

" I'd try to pull them tonight and check on them more if they're fishing fast, you know. Probably run them again."

" At 17 and 1/2 meters, the Lucky Lady can only handle a small crew. That makes everyone important, even the least experienced. 24-year-old Kevin Davis has only 1 crab season under his belt, but his first season"

" Sea."

" He's on the last link."

" Defying nearly impossible odds, his crew mates snatched him from the icy waters."

" Okay, guys, let's just get him inside, right now!"

" Okay, guys, [unk]."

" Please get it on, please."

" Get it on."

" Please get it on. Please get it on."

" Just in case."

" Held in the fort of the galley, his core temperature plummeted and Kevin believed these would be his last moments."

" Ah, it's amazing!"

" The impact of Kevin's near-death experience hit fellow crewman, Dan and Vince hard. With Kevin safe and the deck secure, the reality of the situation was overwhelming."

" I'm good."

" Kevin will never forget the importance of having crew mates you could count on."

" Just get your clothes off."

" They're good people. We got a special spot for them."

" Out in the open sea, working as a team can mean the difference between life and death. [time=0:03:30]"
