Vega is classed as a near star, but it is still 25 lightyears away!
Along with Arcturus and Sirius, it is one of the brightest stars in the Solar System's area.
Capella, Rigel and Betelgeuse are the sixth, seventh and tenth brightest stars in the heavens, although Capella is fourth brightest in the northern hemisphere.
Rigel is around 800 lightyears away from us and is a whopping 40,000 times brighter than the Sun! And Betelgeuse is what’s known as a ‘red giant’ and is found the constellation of Orion.
