BMW K1200LT

The K1200LT tourer tops BMW’s range of motorcycles – and a glance down the list of standard and optional equipment will tell you why.

The built-in luggage doubles as a full-size backrest and arm rests for the pillion. There are also heated adjustable seats and grips, an on-board computer and a stereo sound system.

The 1171cc double-overhead cam engine serves up a healthy 116bhp and is one of the smoothest four-cylinder engines fitted to any bike. It is also capable of serving up a 130mph top speed – no mean feat given the 387kg weight it has to carry.
