Once again, there are travel options in Europe for those who wish to rent bikes or use their own. Some companies even offer GPS satellite navigation so you can ride at your own pace.

Choice is plentiful – you can opt for a tour of the Alps, through Switzerland, Italy and Austria. You’ll experience some of the highest Alpine passes in Europe and the mountain ski resort of St Moritz.

Sports bike riders may be interested in visiting some of the motor racing circuits – especially during the World Superbike or Moto GP season. Major tracks include Assen in Holland, Le Mans in France, the Nurburgring in Germany, Spa in Belgium and Silverstone in the UK. There are many more, so you could plan an entire holiday around motorsport.

Finally, why not try a tour of the Pyrenees and Barcelona. Not only will you see one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, but also some of the best empty roads on the continent.
