Protective clothing comes in all shapes, sizes and colours. Whichever you choose, make sure it fits – and you are comfortable (not just standing up, but also sat on a bike).
You can either opt for separate jacket and trousers or a one-piece suit – the latter is safer, but less practical. Most garments are leather, but man-made materials are also available.
Always make sure the clothes have armour padding and are designed for the climate you ride in. Finally, consider a separate back protector and always wear gloves – if you fall, you are likely to put your hands down first.
