KTM 525 EXC

The Austrian-born KTM EXC range consists of 400, 450 and 525cc engines in a frame designed with nothing but competition in mind. In fact, even KTM doesn’t recommend using this bike on tarmac for too long.

The 400cc bike is the tamest of the three – suitable for hobby riders. The 450 and awesome 525 models are seriously competitive machines that have the power to embarrass novice riders.

There’s also an American-spec desert racer called the MXC with longer travel suspension and a larger fuel tank. Whichever you choose, you’ll be buying a serious piece of kit for off-road use only.
