BMW R1150GS Adventure

The R1150GS Adventurer is the long-distance mile-muncher of choice. It comprises a reliable 1130cc boxer engine, a generous 30l petrol tank and long-travel suspension to cope with a variety of terrain.

The 1150 is one of a long line of GS BMWs that started more than 25 years ago with the R80. Since then, over 150,000 models have sold and numerous Paris-Dakar victories have been achieved.

The Adventure has been described as a two-wheeled SUV and is as happy crossing a desert as tackling a highway. The R1200GS was launched in 2004 and the R1200GS Adventure in 2006, replacing the 1150. These bikes are both true all-rounders and therefore worthy successors.
