The first film in which martial artist Bruce Lee had a starring role, Fists of Fury set him on the path to stardom.
It is the story of a young man who travels from China to Thailand to work in an ice factory. He puts up with an abusive boss but when workers from the factory mysteriously disappear, Lee’s character investigates and discovers a conspiracy much bigger than he first imagined. His beautiful cousin is then kidnapped and he sets out to rescue her and take matters into – literally – his own hands.
Fists of Fury, known as The Big Boss outside of the United States, was the first of five movies in which Lee starred in before his tragic death. It shouldn't be confused with Lee's second major movie, Fist of Fury, which was set in China.
