Death:

On the morning of 12th October 1978, Sid woke from his drugged stupor to find Nancy lying dead in a pool of blood by the basin. She’d bled to death from a single stab wound. Sid, who said he remembered nothing, was arrested for her murder. After a spell in prison, McClaren arranged for Sid to be released on $50,000 bail.

Sid was supposedly clean after prison rehab but, at his release party, his mother gave him heroin. Sid was found dead the next morning from a large overdose. Speculation remains that he couldn’t live without Nancy and took his own life, aged just 21.
