Antenatal Classes

Usually run by midwifes, antenatal classes run for about 6-8 weeks and are a great way to meet other local expectant parents. They cover pain relief, diet, breathing techniques, labour positions, parenting skills, interventions and postnatal problems.

Antenatal or childbirth classes are an opportunity for expectant parents to find out more about delivery and birth. Classes run for six to eight weeks and are usually given by midwives. A local antenatal class is a good opportunity for you to meet other mums-to-be living in your area. These can become a wonderful support network after the birth.
