Geoff Mackley, aka Dangerman, is an extreme adventure cameraman. There is nowhere he won’t go to capture the Earth in its most unbridled fury, at huge risk to his own life.

In Dangerman, Discovery Channel follows Geoff as he undertakes five adventures that tackle nature head on. In the first episode, Geoff and his friend and cameraman Joe Morgan circumnavigate the globe in pursuit of the perfect storm.

In Taiwan, he witnesses Typhoon Dujan demolish fishing boats in a harbour and destroy thousands of homes. A week later, whilst filming in the heart of Typhoon Maemi in South Korea, he is lucky to not be killed when the lethal winds rip down the glass facade of a building right in front of him.

Then it’s on to the USA, where Geoff and fellow storm chaser Jim Edds meet up with Hurricane Isabel at it makes landfall in North Carolina. They manage to get right inside the storm surge as the sea is forced into town. It engulfs Geoff’s car and nearly washes Jim away as the massive waves pulverise the beach houses.

In his ensuing adventures, Geoff travels to Siberia to experience the coldest inhabited place on earth, climbs inside a crater to film an active lava-filled volcano and, in Australia, buys a truck to drive into the most dangerous part of a cyclone.
