Elvis is an anagram of “lives” and some people claim that The King is still alive and well and has been spotted in various places around the world.
Just after his death, on 16 August 1977, a man calling himself John Burrows, and who bore a startling resemblance to Elvis, was seen buying tickets to Buenos Aires. Elvis had often used this pseudonym when travelling, including on one trip to the FBI headquarters in Washington DC when he’d offered to inform on other celebrities’ illegal behaviour.
So could Elvis’ death have been faked as part of one of the most elaborate witness protection schemes of all time?
